(i'm assumin' you are one, or at least wanna be one) if a book is not the rite item, what did inspired you to become a writter? in my case, i had already read a lot of books, mostly philosphy, anthropology and psychology (for at the moment i wanted to be a psychologist) books, but also a lot of things, mostly european (i won't make a list, its gettin' so trendy to list things), but when i heard the "siamese dream" by "the smashing pumpkins", i said: i wanna have a band, and after a few gigs, there was a lot of people askin' me what the fuck did i read to come up with those lirycs, and started writtin' in the local fanzine, and in some artcritic columns on the unniversity paper, then i read a book by ray loriga, "la pistola de mi hermano" (my brother's gun) and decided, i wanna be a writter. ok, have a ball.

A little Java or IRC chatroom would probably be a smaller undertaking than the search feature, and less than the forums were. I think it would add a lot to the community. There are open source script packages floating around out there, so I don't think it would have to be an additional cost. What do you guys think? Is it irrelevant to a poetry community? Is it too big a task? Would you use it? -Redenan

For those who don't know. NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month: the goal is to write 50,000 words in the span of a month, namely November. I tried it this year, and I got to about 30,000 before I got to busy. How about ya'll? Did anyone else try for it?

What they didn't expect were the editorial staff of Incorporating Writing all dressed as platinum blondes, clutching aliens and doing a dance routine. There in their wake, glistening and heaving on the forest floor was the Pulp issue, with some rack as well; Steve Aylett and Margaret Obank, Leroy Skalstad and Stephy Robinson getting the hots for H.G. Wells. It wasn't long before Bryan Tighe was on Skalstad and Gilks, Fleming and Allen got onto SF. It was no surprise that Christine Brandel is disgusted and Dan McTiernan has moved in with Zorba the Greek and that Andrew Oldham is buzzing on Pulp. Pulp is dangerous stuff, can make your eyes water and bring a good man down with 50 pages of articles, interviews and reviews. I buy them all a cool beer and then drive them down to Coney and toss them in the sea. I yell at the sorry s.o.b.'s that all they ever needed was one magazine, Incorporating Writing (ISSN 1743-0380) because it's all free, all critical and all at www.incorporatingwriting.co.uk but they're too busy wrestling with the thing that came from the bottom of the sea. Next issue will be VIOLENCE. Writers, want to make something of it? Then put your balls on the table and reach for a pen, wash your hands first, you filthy s.o.b. and submit an idea or else. Publishers, you chicken? Then submit a book or audio CD for review or we'll send in the heavy mob, the critics. Readers, writers and publishers can contact us a editor@incorporatingwriting.co.uk. We're always interested in hearing off our readers, got any comments? Got some feedback? Sex is running rampant at Incorporating Writing from vampires in Manchester to Jane Austen. We're awash with the kind of moral behaviour that would have had Mary Whitehouse reach for her telephone and ring Thora Hird. Thankfully, we are now more progressive and Whitehouse is dead and Hird has ascended finally on that stana stairlift. So, everyone take off your shirts in a nipple gazing proclaimation that SEX SELLS. The the new edition of Incorporating Writing (ISSN 1743-0380) brings you more sex than you get in a Mills & Boon book on page 90. Rosie Lugosi reveals the woman behind the creation, Mitzi Szereto wonders what all the fuss is about porn. In our editorial, Andrew Oldham discusses the merits of of sex selling talentless people that should be shat into space. Tom Spurling considers sex in the modern age whereas Claire Boot romps through sex with Jane. Dan McTiernan is forced to concede in his regular column that all book clubs are about getting naked and being projected on a wall in some city square and Christine Brandel reveals selling sex is nothing new. Janet Aspey heads the team in the reviews section as they get down low and mucky with a collection of saucy books. We're not heartless in the offices of Incorporating Writing, we haven't forgotten love and to this end we're giving away 5 free CDs of The Sea, featuring this generations greatest love poet, Ian Parks. We open the doors on our letters page, devoted to Max Dunbar's take on modern industry events + 4 pages of news and opportunities. It's all free and all filth. Free the Literary beast inside you! With over 40 free pages of interviews, articles, reviews, industry news and opportunities, there's only one magazine that you need, Incorporating Writing (ISSN 1743-0380) . It seems whenever I'm on LF it runs painfully slow, despite my good internet connection, and about every other page load I get the internal server error message. It's not a big deal, I just refresh about two or there times, but it's really irksome to have to cross my fingers for results. Is this just an isolated incident, or have other members been having this problem? Edit: There it is again, when I tried to preview this topic it happened like fours times in a row. -shrug- well someone get back to me.
