I've done it several times but I don't "write" music as in notes or anything. Just lyrics and/or melodies. I suck at lyrics, but I have a tiny flair for singing so I have made some nifty tunes in my head at some point or another.

xD;

I've even had dreams where my brain has come up with an entire song. Sadly, I don't recall them long enough to write down or sing into a recording device - I'm a terrible person when I wake up. A total zombie. By the time I'm fully awake they're gone xD
